Some Concerning Developments

I'm at fault for this. As the saying goes, 'Curiosity killed the cat'....(Just to clarify, this post isn't about the feral cats)

Today I was chillin' in my apartment when I saw some workers show up next door where the burnt house is.

I'm a curious guy lol.. So I went out for a smoke and started talking to one of the workers... In our conversation I was saying, 'You know it's too bad about this 'barn/garage', it's in not bad shape (wasn't touched by the fire)'.
The worker then said, 'Well, it's all coming down in April, the house, the garage and your place, all of it, in April' he stated again.

I was like, 'Oh wow, ok'....

Now, I've signed a lease and in that lease they have to give me 3 months notice. Which is cool and all, but since the first time I met the owner and then in meeting the property manager, I've always said, 'My Brother's wedding is in April, so I hope nothing happens, as far as having to move, until after April'.
Until today, as far as conversations I've had with the owners property manager, there was no action going to take place until AFTER April and maybe even up to a year before they'd wipe out the houses. Which as far as having to move, was comforting that I wouldn't have to pack through the Winter and be out in April... Or March for that matter. It's doable, but with the wedding and all, it'd just be a helluva lot less stressful if I could get Cuba behind me and then deal with moving.

So I've written the property manager about the conversation I had with this worker. Really, the guy might have old info or just not know what he's talking about. The reply from the property manager just said he'd "check into it"... Me, I'd think, as property manager, he'd know... But who knows...

So, the 'bright side'? My old landlady, lol she's not 'old', I'm meaning she used to own this place. She has a place on the North side that she said is mine for the asking, but she's not sure if I'll like it.

So sometime soon she's gonna show me the place... lol Now the thing with this new place is... A dude died in there, a very very large dude and they didn't find him for like 3 weeks (My one fear of being single is that happening)... So the place is going through extensive renovations.. I've seen the 'mess' the unfound dead can leave and know the procedures that have to take place for it to be cleaned up and accessed by inspectors.
I'm not worried about some overweight ghost haunting the place. My landlady feels that I may feel that the place is too small. I think she said that the place is smaller than my apartment i'm in now.

So, fingers crossed, either A: This worker had incorrect info B: My old landlady's 'new' place will be adequate for me.... If not, I do have other leads, thanks to Sarah Lockhart and some folks I know that live around Queen Square.. Just wasn't prepared for the information I got today.

Cat update: Dang Tobias, aka Fluffy seems to sense I want to grab him if he comes up on the steps. Which, he's been stubborn since the last storm.. But, it's belly will be it's undoing, like I said to my Brother Gordy, 'As soon as that cat hits my steps, I'm grabbin' it'!

So, the game is afoot!

"And All I Ask Of Myself, Is That I Hold Together"....

Today's blog title is taken from the 1990's Alt-Rock group 'Ned's Atomic Dustbin' song called, 'All I Ask Of Myself Is That I Hold Together' from their final album released in 1995 'Brainbloodvolume' (yes, that's the title, not a typo!).

Ned's were in that 1990's Brit Invasion wave that included bands like, 'Jesus Jones', 'Blur', 'Oasis' (yuk), KLF, and on and on.

But what set Ned's apart not just from their genre, but jsut about every other band that's ever existed was their incorporation of having a second bassist.
So instead of the 'usual' two guitarists or two drummers or two keyboard players, Ned's hit you in the face with lead and rhythm bass lines... I was transfixed. It's kinda silly, I love music, I love each instrument that generally comprises a 'group' or artist's band and through my live for Iron Maiden, bass has always stuck out for me and to hear Ned's with the walloping double bass through every song was mind blowing. But, like a lot of bands of that era, they didn't 'catch' on. Sure they had some great singles that did well, but it wasn't enough to elevate them to bigger and better things. But that's never mattered to me anyhow, sure I've lost some of my favorite bands because they resisted becoming more commercial and accessible to a larger audience but some of them I always felt were some of my own little secrets because so many of my friends would never have had a clue about them.

Some of you know and some of you may not know that I suffered from debilitating anxiety, which really accompanied me throughout my entire life and that's no exaggeration, and it really peaked around 95/96 and it blossomed into full blown agoraphobia, which for an extrovert/outgoing guy like myself, was a real blow. Not knowing what this 'fear' was or where it was coming from, coupled with OCD behavior, I was a wreck. It's why I don't appear in the X-Files crew photos, same with Millennium, I just couldn't bring myself to go be apart of it, my 'fear' at the time developed me. I missed my best friends wedding, I missed so many things in those years.
The one comfort, music.
Ned's Atomic Dustbin's 'frantic' 'All I Ask Of Myself, Is That I Hold Together' became somewhat a mantra, played over and over again to help me get through toughest of times.

And all I ask of myself
Is that I hold together

Half as drunk is twice as clever
Appalled when tarred and feathered
Remarks upon the weather
Will just retard endeavor

This piece of meat is pumping
Poison 'round itself, so neatly
About it, pound for pound
It feeds away and most discreetly

And all I ask of myself
Is that I hold together
And all I ask of myself
Is that I hold together

Get me divine ascension
Supply my worst intention
To thrash it out in heaven
Our Lord, too thick to mention

This piece of mind is keeping
To itself, if only sleeping
Regard it, freeze it, jar it
Assign it all to healing

And all I ask of myself
Is that I hold together
And all I ask of myself
Is that I hold together

And all I ask of myself
Is that I hold together
And all I ask of myself
Is that I hold together

And all I ask of myself
Is that I hold together
And all I ask of myself
Is that I hold together

And all I ask of myself
Is that I hold together
And all I ask of myself
Is that I hold together

That I hold together
That I hold together

And all I ask of myself
Is that I hold together

'The Satanist' & The Petulant Superstore Worker

Really they have nothing to do with one another, but let's start with my trip to Superstore... It was a nice trip, windy, but nice.
I got my items and got in line. There was a lady ahead of me and one behind me in line. The lady ahead of me said something to the cashier and the cashier just sorta looked blankly at her and shrugged...
While I was watching this, I happened to notice this cashier, a young lady, had these earings that appeared to have either Cthulhu on them or an octopus on them. So when it was my turn at cash, while going through the transaction, I said to the young lady, 'Are those Cthulhu earrings? Or is that an octopus?'
"WHAT?" she snapped at me... I asked my question again, "What>?" She says again... The lady that was behind me spoke up and said, "He's asking about your earings dear, are they an octopus?"
The young cashier looked at me and scowled, "I don't know".....

'Alright I said' and was seconds from going to management and asking that maybe this cashier needs a time out or maybe a new job... I mean, I know or rather I don't know, because working for the public like that was never ever something I ever wanted to do. And I KNOW, 'the public are assholes'... Well, I'm  not an asshole. And while I don't expect the cashier to slip a flashy smile on her face and be all gleeful, a little fucking respect would be good for her, both for her and towards her customers.
I was just trying to be fucking nice.

Now.... Zee Satanist:

One of my favorite albums in the last many years was just deemed 'Metal album of the decade' by Loudwire, an online and print Heavy Metal 'zine.
I'd have to really look, but I think Metal wise, in my collection they might be right. 'The Satanist' is one Hell OF an album!
Like they say in their article, from start to finish the album is a masterpiece of Metal, anti religion and lyrical madness that only a man who came close to death and lived to tell about it could write.

You tend to hear that when artists or anyone really is close to death they tend to reach out to 'god'.. Especially if they had rejected religion at some point. When Nergal, 'Behemoth's' singer was dying of cancer, he didnt reach for the 'lord'.. In fact he turned away even harder and I think a lot of that goes into the album.

After his battle with cancer and drummer Inferno's battle with his appendix, The band announced on may 30th of 2013 that in February 2014 the band would release their 10th studio album titled,'The Satanist'.
Again, the album is a masterpiece, every instrument and instrumentation, every lyric.. It's blasphemous, it's evil, it's dark, it's heavy, there's really little else that this album could squeeze in.

The albums packaging and artwork is only rivaled by their 2019 release 'I Loved You At Your Darkest'.

The merchandise for 'The Satanist' has been a hot hot seller for the band and from my many years of buying band merch, I think Behemoth has some of the best priced merch and best looking and well made merch out there of ANY band. I've purchased several items directly from the bands official site and I've always been super impressed by their service, pricing and quality of product.
'The Satanist' sigil long sleeve $36! And amazing quality
The videos that the band released during 'The Satanist' album cycle were outstanding.
Many of the videos were conceived by the band and 'Groupa13' an amazing art-house production company whose visions and realizations of the bands concepts and ideas are brought to life in horrific and true blasphemous fashion.
I think, oh it's hard to make a choice, Ok, so i'll give you two. 'Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel' of which there is a censored version out there if you are at work as  this version is NSFW! and probably my favorite track off the album, 'O Father, O Satan, O Sun'

Now Black Metal & Behemoth purists may totally disagree with me about the band's latest albums.

I've 'liked' some of the more extreme Metal band's on and off throughout my life in Metal, but it really wasn't until 'The Satanist' that I could really say I had a great interest in this genre.
It's not for the faint of heart nor for those who are into clear, clean 'perry's vocals.

I was thinking the other day about how, most people's taste in music mellows over the decades of their lives, but I've found I've been listening to some of the heaviest music in my life at this point and this latent interest has blossomed over the last couple of years and I've expanded my collection of 'Black Metal' albums.

Anyhow, not that 'Loudwires' naming 'The Satanist' as "album of the decade" means a whole heckuva lot to a lot of people. It's cool to know that some agree with me that this album is a 'marker' in the evolution of Metal and the evolution of the Polish Black Metal band 'Behemoth'.

Hard Chargin'

Had a blast earlier at Fredericton's Crust Metal King's 'Hard Charger's' video release party. Nancy Brown came along as my guest... Great to see Ciaron, Brent, Chris Giles, Mike Erb, Bruce, Stacy Lynn, Arthur, DJ STv,  The Hard Charger guys of course, minus Tom.... It was a nice 'Lil get together!

Bruce Legrow had asked if I'd like to help out with the shoot a while back, but I just didn't feel up to it and being the Fall AND being an outdoor shoot, I figured it would have beat me into the Earth and I'm glad I made that decision as lol cast and crew looked 'beat into the Earth' by the end of that shoot.

Deservedly so, everyone that worked on the video did a stellar job in each of their departments and roles!

Trust me, people are gonna howl when they see this vid! It's filled with the very best quality in violence and mayhem that the guys from Hard Charger and their crew could bring forth!

And we wouldn't expect any less!

Keep yer eyes peeled to FB and Hard Charger's YouTube page.... It's coming!

Oh! And I won another copy of their latest album 'Vol. 4 - Take The Guff And Suffer'!

I'm gonna save it in it's sealed condition! ..... I shoulda got the guys to autograph it! Damn it!

Adventures At The DECH - CT Scan Aftermath!

Lookit this!:

It Looks like Stevie Wonder was playing darts with a syringe and my arms were the target!

That's 7 attempts! 7! -  I think my post yesterday I had said 3 and I thought 'maybe 4'.... 7!!.....

Ok! All good, I got "small veins"... But c'mon now! And I wasn't being a smartass or rude.. When someone's sticking pointy sharp things into my flesh, I tend to keep my peace and let them do their job...

But the CT Scan was a blast, I was actually laughing.  - Years ago I had a MRI done and that was with injected dye and they strap you down, it's a narrow space, there's all kinds of racket going on and right before she straps me onto the MRI plank the tech says, "Oh, do you have gum in your mouth? You should have spit that out, if you choke on it, we might not be able to get you out in time!"... Oh thanks lady!! Thanks for the heads up!

This time, the lady is like, "Ok, some people are allergic to the solution (I forget her 'buzzword' for whatever the 'stuff' is they inject into the final hole they put in my arm)... So please tell me if your throat starts to swell up or you begin to have difficulty breathing"....

So, the first time through the 'doughnut' is without the 'solution', I think they did two for good measure, then she says, "ok the solution is coming in" or whatever she said.. So for the first 20 seconds, 1. I'm not feeling it, she said some people think they are pissing themselves, but I felt no "warm sensation" 2. Is my throat swelling up? Am I breathing ok? Yeah? Ok.... So from there, once I figured out I wasn't going to die, I was just totally enthralled by the technology.. But sadly, they wouldn't let me look at my scans... Which sucks, because I have my MRI scans...

Oh well, I'm back to 'normal me' again today... And there's a storm coming!

Cats & 'CATscans' (CT scans)

I know I've flooded my FB page with this feral cat epic over the last several weeks. But today I bring you a different 'Cat' story.

Monday evening Ciaron Lewis was over for a good visit and after he left, I started to have pains in my stomach (which I don't attribute to Ciaron in any way lol, just he was over before this episode began).
These pains rose and rose in my stomach until it was almost unbearable, then it would subside and just about completely dissipate before starting the cycle over and over again until last night (Tuesday night), my friend Nancy, who was just about to head home offered to take me up to the DECH (our local hospital), which I'm glad she did, as I was just about to flop down on my bed and pass out again.
As far as wait times go, it wasn't too bad. I was seen, they took blood, urine and did an X-ray of my guttyworks. I waited for those results, with nothing really coming back other than some elevated white blood cells, which is 'normal' for me due to the inflammation from my arthritis.

The nurse then handed me a bottle of Gastrogavin? I think I hucked the bottled after I took it.. Anyhow, I was booked in for a CT scan this morning.

So, came home, got ready for bed, managed to make sure that the black cat was still on it's feeding schedule through all this... And this morning got up and headed back up to the DECH.

The stuff I drank is to help the docs see what's shaking in your guttyworks better. So I went to the radiology Dept. and drank the rest of that crap (not the worst 'crap' I've drunk) and then they got me into 'Johnny shirts' and attempted to stick in the IV... Now, I say 'attempted' because it took her 4 tries to get that sucker in my arms, but apparently I have "tiny veins" and she had a helluva time trying to get the IV into them! So, she eventually gave up and called in this dude and he stuck me right away. Good thing I ain't a needle jabbin' junkie! Guess I'd have a helluva time!

So, I've had the MRI before and the CT scan was super fun, lol, I was actually smiling watching this big donut do it's thing.. Sliding back and forth.. It's pretty cool... When I had my MRI, I was observant enough to figure they were using a Windows based program to get the imagery and actually walked out of the hospital with my own copy of my body scan - No such luck this time though.. DaMN IT - Would have been rad to have a bunch of my guttyworks to look at!

So, after that i went back to Emerge and waited... and waited... And went to the bathroom and then came back and waited and waited.... Saw a guy who was after me in the scan come out and leave and thought.. Wait a second.... So I went and asked and sure enough, they had called for me when I was in the can...
So doc says it's nothing, more than likelt a stomach virus he's seen making the rounds of the area over the last several weeks.
There were some things that showed up, but nothing serious and worth divulging here.

Good news is I'm alright this time!

Oh, I love getting my blood pressure done, they always say, "It's good, really good! Better than mine" - I attribute that to never being married and not having kids.. I'm telling you, it's probably a life saver!

Thanks to Nancy again for the lift!

3 New Videos In One Night?

Quite impressed with this cat. You hear me say it a few times and probably a few more times to come, I wish I could keep this one, but Elsa is just too... Crazy.. I explain in the video.

"There's No Way Back From Here"....

So why? Why is "there no way back from here"?

It just makes sense to me. All the events in your life that become the past, the good, the bad, the great and triumphant, once you've past them... There's really, no way back.

It's not meant to be a sad or bad thing, it's just that all of the events in your life, from the next second on are behind you.

Be well my friends.

Feral Cats Uodate - Dec 1st 2019

Dang pigeons....

Hey YouDude.... Don't Call Me Dude!

So YouTube has changed their policies... A lot of talk among Youtubers about how this will effect monetization and other things on Youtube.. I shouldn't worry.. There's been this big WARNING! when I've been uploading my vids telling me I have to tell them (YouTube/My audience) if my videos are "children friendly".. I kinda avoided it for a while because I didn't think it really meant much to me.. BUT, today I HAD to pick.. "Vids safe for kids" Or "Vids not safe for kids"... So, since I have frequent swearing I chose 'Not for kids'... I mean, my videos are never outrageous or violent in nature... But yeah lol the swearing and do I have to swear? No, but I like to.. It makes me feel like a big bad man!

Also I was looking into monetizing my videos... As I was watching a video early this morning and this young lady was saying that IF your vids are not monetized, then you basically get relegated to YouTube 'no man's land'... Barely anyone will find/see your videos...

So with that info, i went to finish off my monetization process.... But I cannot.. As I'm told...

"To get into the YouTube Partner Program, your channel needs 4,000 public watch hours in the last 12 months, and 1,000 subscribers. Your channel will also get reviewed to make sure it follows
YouTube monetization policies

124 subscribers
1,000 needed
111 public watch hours
4,000 needed"

Now, really, I don't care about making money off my videos.. But I do wish that they'd get out to more people.. Fuck, thousands of people subscribe to YouTube channels with people telling you how to heal yourself with your own pee or channels about people doing fecal transplants.. But my chipmunk videos get like .. 5... 6. 7 views?

There was a channel of this guy that eats like everything (I don't know how he does it, I'm guessing he takes like a hammer, and makes a mold of it then makes a prop hammer that's edible...) Dude has like fucking MILLIONS of views... From eating random stuff.....

Anyhow.. My vids are what they are.. They are an extension of my blog and that is an extension of the journals i used to keep as a kid and into adulthood.
You enjoy them or not.. You watch them or not....

Feral Cats Update!

This Summer, I remember a couple of times hearing people call me "the chipmunk whisperer" and this evening I heard "cat whisperer". Do I have some kinda of 'bond' with animals?

When I was in Vegas, we went to Siegfried and Roy's... Zoo thing, whatever it's called... Where they got the white tigers....

Anyhow, they had/have this dolphin exhibit... And a group of people were over watching these dolphins and I kinda walked off on my own and went over to the side of the pool... ALL of the dolphins left that group of people an swam over in front of me... Maybe I looked like one of the trainers... I had my cane, so maybe, like some animals, they can sense pain in people... I don't know, but several people remarked at how odd it was that they all swam over to me...

I've had a couple people walking their dogs and their dogs come right to me and they've said, "My dogs never done this before"....

I don't think I have any kind of 'bond'... I just love animals (Most of the time they are better than us huemahns)....

If you did read the first installments of these new 'series', a new animal adventure... Right after the first snowfall, these ladies appeared and told me that feral cats, they believed, had taken up residence in the garage/barn of the empty burnt house next door to me. They took me around and showed me these tracks.. Yep, looks like cats....

So the 'issue' is... These ladies are taking off for the Winter.. and they've asked me, to attempt to keep the cats alive and fed through the Winter until they can make new efforts to catch them in the Spring.

I want to catch them ASAP. But, I know it's going to take patience.... The cats are very skittish, the white colored male cat will bolt almost as soon as it sees me. But now it's been staying to eat....

Then there's the black female... I think she's female.... The ladies say they know the white cat is male, so they are assuming the other is female and I think they are right... She's been starting, slowly to stick around....

So to note here, these ladies are paying for ALL of the food and materials in this venture. All i got to do is be patient and slowly get the cats used to me... And this evening. A break thru!

The female fluffy cat, I call, 'Fluffy', like I said above, she's been slowly starting to get curious about me. I've been placing food out around the same time each day and I make as much noise opening the can and getting them used to my voice as I dish up the food.

So tonight, go and put out food, half a can. I come back in and every once in a while I take my good flashlight and light up the feeding station to see if anyone is there... Fluffy was there feeding.

So after about 15 minutes I looked and it seemed she was gone... Since she ate quite a bit, i went back out to put out the rest of the can for the white cat and as I approached, my headlamp lighting up the way... Fluffy is sitting there.. I stopped dead in my tracks, I thought, 'Ok, just keep going.. She's obviously still hungry enough to stick around'... As i walked over to the feeding station, she stayed put. 5 feet away (maybe 4).. I talked to her the whole time and gave her the rest of the food and then I walked and stood about 10 feet away.

This was a major leap.

So people are probably thinking... "Umm, so how are you goin to catch them?"

Valid question

My plan is to continue to get them used to me and see if i can get them to come to me, then one evening or day, I'll come out with the carrier and see if I can grab one and get it in... The white male will be the hardest... But hey, sometimes the one you think will be the hardest ends up being the easiest!

We'll see. Stay tuned!

Feral Cat Project & Northern Lights

Short video update on the feral cat project. I've seen two cats now.. I was originally told that there was a white cat with a black tip on it's tail. Which I had seen a couple of times in the last two years, walking about the area or sunning itself on the paved trail.
And there is a black fluffy cat with a what mark on it's chest, said to be the female.
So I've seen those two, I've them both at the feeding station which is handy to my big picture window.

Then while texting with the woman who brought this all on, she tells me now that there are 3 cats.... Another black cat. It MAY be possible I saw 'other' black cat, as who knows, it could be the same size and shape as the fluffy one.. I saw a black cat last night, but I couldn't see it's chest, so it COULD have been the other, but I don't think so.
The ladies also say, that when they went along the narrow 'cliff' that drops off into the trail, they saw kitten paw prints.
I don't know much about kittens in the wild, like if after a while the 'mom' cat brings them to where she finds food, but thus far I've seen no signs of kittens.

Also, the aurora borealis MAY be visible tonight. It's supposed to be visible along the horizon, so if you're up some place high that has a good view of the horizon, you might be able to see them.

For the rest of Canada, it's possible that YOU might see them too, you can find out at this site:

New Music! New Videos! New! Not Click Bait!

My good friends in Halifax's 'Dazor' released a HOT new single this last week called, 'Corrosive'.

I saw 'Dazor' play the Battle of the Bands that I was asked to judge at one of  Jay Chetwynd's Maritime Metal fests.

The guys blew me away. LOVED the sounds, Ian's got a fantastic voice. For a young bunch of guys, they are influenced and well versed in the 'Grunge era' sound. And I think it's welcome and fantastic that some young upstarts have tapped into what for almost a decade has been a 'shameful' genre to embrace.
I've recently reconnected with my 'Grunge era' bands.. Soundgarden, Screaming Trees, Pearl Jam and Mother Love Bone and i'll admit, Nirvana even...

Anyhow, here's 'Corrosive' from Halifax's Dazor!

Here's a link to their Bandcamp page: https://dazor.bandcamp.com/

Jumped on board the Dazor bandwagon now before they become famous. I don't know why, but I got a lot of faith in these guys... lol As long as they don't break up or move to Ontario!!

The Capital Project! Oh yes, I won't let ya's get away without letting you know about some more great videos they've released since my last post about the series:

And speaking of 'series' check out this two parter on "Music As Therapy: Project Alive"

And now for something completely different!

A Kinda/Sorta Review/Spotlight on Mayhem's New Album

yeah, i dunno, thought this album, like Behemoth's The Satanist needed a nice video... Or I guess it's nice.
What was nice, was finding some royalty free music for the video! Not that I don't want to pay for music, it's just I can't use Mayhem's music in the video, unless I was a valid journalist of some stature. So mad props again to 95TurboSol!

Here's the vid.

Surprise Package Unbagging!

Something else showed  up in the mail today!

Thanks again SIS!

An Ugly Week that Keeps Getting Better...

The week started off with sub zero temps, snow and ice storms and the defnite stamp by old man Winter that he's here to stay... Until Spring...

Obviously, it gets darker earlier, moods and emotions tend to get dragged down with the awful thought that Winter JUST started... Combined with 'Methotrexate Wednesday'... I felt like shit.. Still do....

BUT, a ray of HELL-shine blasted it's way into my place today with the arrival of the brand new 'Mayhem' album 'Daemon'! And it freakin' RULES! RULEZ even!!

Clear vinyl too! I've only recently, like in the last couple of years, gotten into Mayhem. And much like Behemoth, I'm more of a 'fan' of what Mayhem is writing now than their origins (though Mayhem's origins are about THE most shocking band history's that one can learn about), which is probably a major insult to those Norwegian Black Metal purists.
I had heard a lot of preview tracks from this new Mayhem album and really dug what I heard. It's a REALLY evil - read 'great' - album!

There's been a major new development with my 'Battle Vest Project'.... A good friend of mine from the Metal scene got a hold of me through FB after I had posted about looking for local band patches and stuff for my battle vest.
Turns out, he had a battle vest that he was retiring and offered me to buy the patches that he had off him... So seeing that he had a lot of the patches I was looking for, Mayhem, Bathory, Venom, Emperor and more, I said 'Hell YEAH!'...

In the end, he sold me the whole vest!! I was blown away! And so I've decided I'll work on two vests, why not!!??
I'm not going to post a photo of his vest as it has many much sought after patches...  People will know who it belonged to as soon as they see me wearing it in public, so, just, wait and see :)

Aww heck, but because I'm a nice guy, I'll show you the progress I made last weekend on MY battle vest.

So I plan to keep patching away at both vests...  But, if I'm out and about, you might catch me with the 'other' vest on!

Prepping Your Vibram's Icers for Winter.

So just a video I threw together that documents my experience changing the 'cleats' on Vibram's Icers, THE best anti-slip wear for your Winter boots!

If you haven't checked, if you haven't changed your cleats on the Icer's... You may want to check the condition of your cleats, before it's too late!

The Battle Vest Project

When I was a young Metalhead, I had the 'advantage' that every Summer we'd be cruising across the continent with Dad and we'd usually stop in to some pretty major cities along our travels to Victoria, British Columbia.
The advantage was, my Brother Gordy and I got access to all these incredible head shops (big stores that sell all kinds of 'Heavy Metal' & 'Punk' merchandise: Shirts, Jackets, hats, toques, buttons, pins, patches, spikes, wristbands, flags,, lava lamps and on and on).
I had the 'Metallica - Metal Up Your Ass' T shirt with the glow in the dark guy frying in the electric chair on the back! My jean jacket had a 'Iron Maiden - Powerslave' big back patch on it. I had this wicked 'Jump in the Fire' demon metal pin.. I HAD a really frikin' awesome skull ring.. Which I lost the year after I moved back here... I had all the good shit!

Nowadays, I got WAY too many shirts.. Long sleeve T's... Ugh so much 'stuff'.. But most of it's pretty 'Metal'.

I'd been wanting to do a Metal 'Battle Vest' for quite a while now. When I was at CHSR I had begun to get in some patches, The guys in Neighbourhood Watch threw some swag at me when I went out on their reunion tour and their kick ass patch was in there.. and I had begun to collect Metal patches but I was missing the main component... A denim jacket or vest to sew them on to...

You see, as a 'Metalhead' the 'Battle Vest' is a very cool component to our attire.. It's a further statement, that you're looking at a 'Metalhead'.
Usually adorned with patches by your favorite bands, this shows strangers that come upon you, what you're into. And that can make or break a potential relationship, especially if your 'Battle Vest' is covered with 'Winger'/'Poison' and 'Mötley Crüe' junk....

YOu might fight a total 'Blackened Metal' friend by noting the patches on his /her Battle Vest,.. Or maybe they are all Hardcore and Punk patches.. Punk Rockers also do the 'Battle vest' thang...

Here's an example of a great 'Battle Vest':
Not my 'Battle Vest'

So this past week I got myself a denim vest, I've ordered a large back patch for the.... back.. That's generally the main.. item.. On the center of the back, usually you'll find one large back patch, it's the 'big one'.. It generally is maybe your favorite band or the first patch you got, but almost, almost every 'Battle Vest' will have that one big patch on the back and then the rest of the jacket is made up of small and various sized patches.

So, here's the beginning of mine. I was going to wait until I got the big back patch, but I thought, 'Nah, I can start on the front!'

So that's where it'll all begin!

The beginning of my 'Battle Vest'
This is the last time you'll see the vest until it's 'complete', that is, it has enough patches on it, that's it worthy for public consumption... Really, I'd look even dorkier than I do if I went out with just these patches on it!

I am goin to document the making of the jacket on video and it'll be a 'how I made out'/'How to' video...And it'll be available.. much later on.. Though I plan to try and get this suckah up and running in a few months.

Stay tuned!

The Coming Storm & Some Capital Project Suggestions

Yes, yes, my friends a storm is coming! How big will it be? How strong will the winds be? How many will lose power? Who knows!?
According to Environment Canada:

"3:42 PM AST Wednesday 06 November 2019
Special weather statement in effect for:

Fredericton and Southern York County
Rain and snow followed by colder temperatures expected over New Brunswick beginning Thursday afternoon into Friday, with a cold and blustery day in store for Saturday.

A weather system is expected to bring rain to southern New Brunswick beginning Thursday afternoon with snow expected over northern regions, with the rain/snow boundary likely across central New Brunswick. Rainfall amounts of 15 to 30 millimeters are possible over southern sections with 5 to 10 centimeters of snow possible for the northern and central areas of the province Thursday night.

As colder air moves into the province from the north on Friday, flurries or periods of snow could give an additional 5 to 10 centimeters of snow to central and eastern areas of the province. Reduction to visibility could create potentially hazardous driving conditions Friday afternoon and evening.

Saturday will be sunny but remain cold and blustery across the province as temperatures will struggle to reach the freezing mark in many areas."

And if you watch the accompanying video, you'll see some flurries and some furries.

Now for some Capital Project recommendations:

Be sure to check out these bands and their spotlight vids... Sorry Tim, I ain't linking 'Scotty & The Stars'....
Kill Chicago:
These guys are really awesome. They got a 'radio Rock' feel to them, I've kinda had a 'Foo Fighters' vibe to them, but they got their own style, this is the kind of Rock that gets signed, great hooks, catchy chorus' and well written songs.

I would have to guess that Zach was just a youngin' when DreamKick and The Wasteland Zombies were around (he's 10 years younger than myself). But he's grown up, immersing himself in the local scene. As a teen he and a friend campaigned city hall for the 'right' to put up gig posters and he is responsible for those poster stations up around the downtown core. Which is HUGE. I won't get into my rant about how no one posters today, with the exception of ... The Capital and me, when we had shows or when a band actually took me up on postering for them (ok, ok, other bands have postered)
He then made his way in to the Capital and now, if I'm not mistaken, he's running the whole Capital complex, which includes two other pubs. So he's always been someone that has been great and super huge asset to our scene. He's brought in so many bands, so many genres and truly gave bands a home to play when there were next to none.

Anyhew! I don't know much about the rest of the gang in the band. I know Dillon their drummer as he does video work for Tim... The singer is a teacher (I know that from the Capital Project movie) and I believe one of the Bowie kids is in the band... Not David Bowie!

Young Satan In Love:
Ahh 'Young Satan In Love' - Mark Bragdon (sp?) he and my Brother Gordy have a great acid trip story, it was funny to hear both sides of it... But it's not for me to relate here.

I think of YSiL as, kinda Mr. Bungle, Redd Kross like, funny, silly, but not quite as mainstream I guess. Their shows are filled with theatrics, props, crowd participation.. If you've never seen Young Satan In Love... Make sure you do! They are great to see on 'date nights'!

NOT Click bait! I've Finally Caught Elsa On Video!

HA! Now I can prove I ain't crazy!

For years I've typed out, stories of Elsa, jumping up on my bed's... footboard, gingerly, and expertly walking along it's edge, over to some of my late Grandfather's artwork, which is presented in glass frames... and then 'slapping' it with her paw, sending the painting swinging back and forth on it's wire...

The 'big one' is the huge glass pained etching of a British knight that I have, she'll go and slap that one too and today, I caught her!

Enjoy! Oh and there's some tree rat and chipmunk footage for those of you aching for that!

Here We Are Again.... And So There Were Two!

Short-Tail and the 'Munk that climbs up on the table are still about. Though it took forever for the Table 'Munk to get it's butt over for some peanuts!

Time Changed happened so now I'll just have morning, afternoon to get some footage. There's a great clip from later in the video that I chopped out and put it at the beginning. So cute.

Enjoy!

FUCK! GRRRR BLOGGER!!!! (The name of this website I used for my Blogs... For the last 3 days, each time I click the 'Add Photo' or 'Add Video' icon, either a blank white box comes up, or just 'text' with no graphics appears.. At least with the latter I can eventually link the YouTube video... But tonight's it's not even letting me do that...

So, here's the link:

I'll try Publishing it, then try it again....

Blade Runner & Chipmunks AND Elsa ATTACKS!

Back in 1982 my Father took me to see the movie 'Blade Runner'.... My Dad took me to see a LOT of amazing movies, that being that young, I don't know MAYBE I shouldn't have seen? Compared to 'R' rated movies now, Blade Runner is really a breeze.. Conan the Barbarian, another movie Dad took me to, that had several decapitations during the opening of the movie - My Dad's girlfriend at the time got up and walked out, he followed her shortly and I watched Conan by myself..

I'm totally thankful I got to see these iconic movies in the theater. I think a lot of those movies certainly influenced me and shaped parts of my creativity.

I just came across an article on the BBC about 'Blade Runner Then and Now' - Because the Blade Runner made in 1982 was set in the uber, so far distant - we must have colonies on other planets by then - future of 2019!

So I'm not gonna go through the article bit by bit, I got a 'munk vid to throw together, but suffice it to say, sure, there's TINY similarities to that dystopian high tech future as laid out in Blade Runner.

LOL there's not much.. We sort of have some barely tested VTOL like helicopter/airplanes.... But that ain't no flying car.... There are people working on it. But the infrastructure to support even the cheapest of alternative transportation modes are probably still decades away.

Robots are nowhere near anything like the 'clone droids' of Blade Runner, synthetic huemahns made to work on the 'Off World colonies' and in Blade Runner, it's not made out to sound like 2019 is our first time in  space either... So there's that, space exploration, which I've lamented we're so sadly far behind (and if you look at those movies made in the '70's or '80's - any of them that showed our future, we've barely reached any of it).

Check out the BBC article here: https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-50247479

Now the Chipmunks!

Feelin' Better

Thanks for all your kind words on FB. I slept a good chunk of the day and did feel a bit better when I got up, got moving around.
Sometimes I think I really get to feel how bad I am when I'm towards the end of my Naproxen (anti-inflammatory) coursing through my body and then once I take it (every 12 hours), well not once, about an hour or more later I begin to notice it's effects. These 'shatter' gummies are most excellent, they really do the trick. Can't wait for all the new products to be unleashed in I guess January now.

SO! It's been a helluva long time since I've posted a video and it wasn't for lack of trying. I must have 3 to 5 days of video, went to work on it and it just never got done and then the next day, i'd take more video and then it didn't get made... I'd start editing, working on stuff but just been too busy.

But then yesterday eve, while waiting for Ciaron (We went to see the 'Joker') and all of a sudden 'CallYou' is being so skittish I ain't even bothering to try and get her to come to me, these two 'munks show up. The 'ShortTail' and this other one... I dunno, it's got a mark on it's hind end like 'Buddy's 'mother' did... But I just can't accept that she's survived that long and this one doesn't seem big enough to be that old.  I dunno... Anyhow... Enjoy, not many more of these left.

AND as a bonus, here's a couple of Fall photo's I've taken over the last couple of weeks:

6:06 A.M.

How are you supposed to sleep when both of your hips are screaming in red hot pain?

My hips have bothered me on and off through this arthritic journey. They've not been my biggest issue, but having a fucked up walking gait and compensating for one bad foot over the other has taken it's toll.

Around 2004, my then rheumatologist told me that by the looks of my feet, knees and hips I'd be permanently confined to a wheelchair in a matter of years.
When I first saw her around the Fall of 2001, I was still in the wheelchair from the rapid onset of psoriatic arthritis that was destroying my feet, heel to toe.
Once I had been diagnosed and was receiving proper medications, in conjunction with going to physio therapy 3 days a week, we'd managed to get the wild uncontrolled inflammation under control, but my disease process was so intense that that's what led my rheumatologist to make that shocking statement about being confined to a wheelchair.... It's 2019 and I've been 'lucky' that my hips HAVE held up on me this long.

Likely one of the most frightening times in my life were those first months when my feet got so bad I did fear losing the ability to stand.
It was a very very humbling experience at age 26 to wind up in that wheelchair, to go from standing and being in really quite decent health to a wheelchair in only a matter of months was a mind fuck....

Anyhow, I've got some really, really great 'shatter' gummies. ... I think its going to be a gummy day. It's also 'Methotrexate Wednesday', so the day was a write off anyhow.
Maybe this pain is due to the incoming storm that's aimed to hit us by early tomorrow morning , I don't know,  but this ain't a fun time....

Pretty Ecstatic For a Wednesday

I've spoken before about the incredible and colossal work that Tim Rayne and his crew at Raynemaker Productions have put in to the Capital Project. I've been there for parts of it and it's still going on!

In case you missed it, I'm not up on Facebook's settings and stuff, so I'm not sure if everyone can see the video I shared from Tim's FB page today, but they uploaded our video today, to say, the Wasteland Zombies spotlight video for the Capital Project.
I'm more than satisfied with the quality of the sound and footage, as well as the band's performance. The guys are super jazzed about the video too! They think it's great!
We could always use more practice and it was a new song, but we were really jazzed on 'Anubis Rising'.
I'm pretty sure we played, 'Kill Scene - Zombie Nation', 'The Fire Breathing Liar' & 'Anubis Rising'.
I maybe should have chose 'Spread Your Wings' as it is our most 'popular'/well known song. But again, we were super happy with our new originals, 'Kill Scene' and 'Fire Breathing...' we'd been playing for some time.

Here's a link to the video:

Second Wednesday in a row, cool stuff happened when I needed it. I ain't gonna gripe much about the methotrexate, but it's working, so it's a necessary evil for right now. Until the, by all means, please keep sending me cool shit on Wednesdays!

October, Halloween, Ghost Hollow, Sleepy Hollow & Other Haunts....

First, Happy Birthday to my Brother Gordy! Hope you had a great day with your family, I guess really a birthday weekend! It's been really great in the last many years to get to spend so much time with my Brother's. Not that we didn't spend enough time together as kids, being trapped in a car, Dad, Scott, Gord and Myself. WEEKS on the road that close together.. Yeah....
So we've spent our years apart too. Before computers/email and such, we were rarely in touch and I only saw them when I went home to visit.

October, it's beautiful in New Brunswick, the East Coast (including Maine) is flooded with the colors of the dying leaves. Some of the colors are like wildfire, like this:

Fredericton has houses that date back to the late 1700's and graveyards from that period as well. So the area takes on somewhat a 'Dicken's' story like feel. Or that your in 'Sleepy Hollow' itself.

Tonight I'm watching 'Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow'. I think, in my opinion a fantastic realization of the classic Halloween tale.
NO, I didn't like the TV series. I'm sorry, I don't believe the 'curse of the headless horseman was prolific enough to make it in our World today. It's a great kinda Gothic tale anyhow, it's an old tale, verging on a 'myth'.. Did it really happen? The Hessian mercenary? His brutality in life and his revenge in death?
The Disney cartoons are also taken in each year too. And let's not forget the rarely known and seen Dr. Seuss "Halloween special'! With the Grinch!

I think all this hearkens back to those 'Specials' they'd have on around Halloween, tv stations playing 'Horror marathons',
I also truly believe growing up with a Loyalist cemetery in our backyard had a bit to do with things too.

Traveling around the Kingston Peninsula while Dad was down and during drives with Scott and Andrea, we went through the old highway, and there's so many memories of those roads.

On the Kingston Peninsula there's a place called 'Ghost Hollow'. it was on the way to and back from our Aunt and Uncle's cottage called 'Shamper's Bluff'.
Every time we drove through the hollow we'd have to hold our breaths or the ghosts would get us... or something... We'd travel to 'Shamper's Bluff' through many seasons of the year and the Fall of course just seemed all the more spooky, those old narrow winding roads, with the wind blowing, leaves swirling in the air.. Great memories
This is the alleged story of 'Ghost Hollow' on the Kingston Peninsula:

"There’s also on the Kingston Peninsula, where ‘Ghost Hollow’ is. Allegedly a family was all consumed by a house fire and it is said that sometimes the house appears engulfed in flames and other reports have said the children stand by the roadside, blackened by the soot from the fire."

From: Haunted Locations in New Brunswick

None of us ever saw the "burnt kids", I don't think we ever saw anything nor even knew that tale of HOW 'Ghost Hollow' got it's name. But it scared the bejesus outa us as kids!

The church we went to each Sunday, this massive Gothic cathedral, it was said to be haunted by the wife a former Bishop Medley.
It was said she could be seen (had been seen) gliding from the steps of their former home across the street from the cathedral, in through the church's doors and could be sometimes seen in the church.
Let me tell you, knowing that story and having perpetually shown up for choir practice early as a child. I'd go into the church, if no one was there, no matter what weather, I'd stand outside or if it was really inclement, I'd stay in the entry way, which had huge wooden doors separating you from the inside, it was enough to at least feel a bit easy and have easy access to get the hell out of there if the dang ghost showed up!

As I mentioned, we had a Loyalist cemetery in our backyard, it had a spooky 'ol fence, had a creepy huge Loyalist memorial headstone and then two, what were ancient to us, headstones that may date back to around 1790 something. Little did we know that beneath us, as we played in and around that cemetery, lay some 30 men, women and children... All of them died the first Winter that they came to 'Saint Anne's Point' (What Fredericton was originally dubbed by the English).

I used to watch the cemetery at night from my bedroom window, never did I see a ghostly specter, nothing, not even any weird lights or noises... Except if some partying youths got down there....
I think that had a lot to do with my interest in horror, the occult and stuff, now NOTE I said, 'interest'. I've never been part of or dabbled in the occult... ok, maybe a couple of 'white magic spells' from a small booklet I found in my grandparents side of the house one time....

Anyhow, it's still a great time of year, snow has not flown yet, some days are just really beautiful and today was one of them for it's picture perfect capture of the season, the Fall.

Was great to hang out with Ciaron for a bit too!

SO check out some 'Halloween specials' and Classic Horror movies, There's litterally millions of horror movies out there. Go off the beaten path this year, sure sure, I know we all have our 'staple'/ favorite ones, but search out some lists of Horror movies and find some you've never seen.  You can find a bunch on YouTube and some other web sources.. Netflix has fuck all for Horror movies and I saw some of the selection of other streaming services and they had shit as well.
So go find your own Horror!

Woke Up Just To Give This To You!

Had managed to edit and render my Thanksgiving 'get-away' vid, but had to crash while it uploaded to YouTube.  BUT! Managed to wake up and see if was finished so I thought, 'What the hay! My West Coast friends and fam are 4 hours behind!

So, here it is. Check out the later part of the video for some 'bumpy' footage of our lovely Fall New Brunswick landscape.
The province is really beautiful almost all times a year. Just our highways suck donkey balls. I'm sorry, they do, everyone knows it.
It's one of the biggest complaints of tourists and friends and family who visit.

But, it's a 'Have Not Province'.... So, we're poor LOL, we're lucky to have roads damn it!

Enjoy and stay tuned... Luggage ain't unpacked....

Wonder if any of the 'Munks are still around......

Some great footage here! if I do say so myself! we've had a couple of beautiful Fall days. Sad it gets darker so quick and it's about to get darker when the time changes...

'CallYou' surprised me by now jumping up on the lawn chair and taking her peanuts from there, which is awesome, I wish she would have though of that earlier! Enjoy the vid!

Ok, so 'LilGuy's' footage is towards the end, but then you'll miss 'Hoppy' aka 'Stumpy'! So what them all!!

Chipmunks, Smoke Machines & Winter Clothes

How ya'll doing? Great I hope!

The days are growing shorter and soon the 'Munks will be sleeping (Remember, they don't 'hibernate per se).... So yeah short 'Munk vid, but Stumpy shows up later.

Some fog/smoke machine shop talk and ..I dig out the Winter gear.... All this and more, on today's video:

Wednesday, October 2, 2019

Jeez, been a while eh? Let's Ketchup!

So, we last left off, our sister and her husband Larry came to town. We've only met 3 times and so it was great to spend time with them and let them see a bit of the 'history' my Dad, brother's and I had here in Fredericton... Seems to me I'm recalling I did write about our adventure at our old homestead on Elmcroft place.

So, that's it, I was off to Saint John with Gordy. We left after Dad's birthday dinner at our other Brother Scott's place.
So, the video will have a bit of that trip..

What it does not have though is the craziness that happened to me as my Brother and I ran some errands around uptown Saint John on Friday night...

First we went to, aw damn I dunno SJ that well but it's uptown, it's kinda a mall that has Giant Tiger, some bar, a Dollarama and the 'Mr.Music' store (which sells absolutely NO music anymore)... Anyhow, we hit Dollarama and the cashier there was undressing me with her eyes, I didn't make eye contact, no offense, but she was hideous.. I know, I know, I'm no looker myself.. but man... Yikes. Then I had to pee real bad, so we entered the mall and head down this long, long, longgggg, hallway to the bathrooms..
We entered the men's.. of course, and Gord took a stall and I went around the middle stall to the urinal...
As I began my business Gord began to say that a lot of junkies and bums come in these bathrooms to shoot up and stuff... It was at that moment, a second voice joined the conversation and it was the voice of a woman....
The first thought was, 'ok, no big deal, it's a transgendered person using the bathroom.. But nope..

The female voice said, "I like to come in the men's bathroom because it's quieter, too many women are shooting up in the women's bathroom"....

I finished my biz and began to step back and my back hit this outcropping on the wall and I kinda ricochet off the wall and as I came around the corner, there was this .. woman.. thin as a rake, she had foundation in thick streaks randomly on her face. She was still ranting on about how the mens bathroom is awesome to shoot up in, I washed my hands, Gord came out, washed his hands and we left.
We had a conversation with the woman at Mr.Music about our run in in the bathroom and she began to regal us with all kinds of horror stories from the mall...

So we left and headed off to our next stop, some pizza in uptown SJ at one of Gord's favorite 'za joints.
While at the counter there... All of a sudden this woman's hand and arms come around from behind me and she's pressing up against me and she says, "Excuse me dear" as she reaches for the napkins.. All find and good but I didn't need to be .... touched.... in that way....
That woman turns out Gord 'knew' just because he lived in that neighborhood a few years ago and this woman was one of the local drunks... Apparently she lives in a ground hog day, and it's not all just from the booze. She had been married, kids, a job and had an accident and ended up in a coma for a while, when she came round, she had no short and long term memory. She'd not remember you in a matter of hours or the next day.

So that was Saint John! Fun stuff eh?

Sunday the neighbors finished up all their moving out and tonight new people moved in. It's two brother's and a sister from Somalia.  I was told they just got in then country, they had nothing, but today the Multicultural Association helped get them set up with some furniture and bedding I believe.

Alright, videos!
Some of Dad and Lisa's visit and some new LED lights i got going.

Check out Zee lights!

Monday, September 23, 2019

Well, this is it.

The pugs have left the building.... Been sad watching my neighbors move out piece by piece. Tonight is their last night in the house. For a month I'll be solo until they rent out the front apartment.

They've had two families check it out so far. I'd prefer a family over some reckless partying students...

Man, I'm way behind on the the vids! My laptop is chugging slower and slower all the time. Though the new ext hard drive would give me some speed back but processing the videos, even like under 10 minutes can take up to an hour or more, then uploading them to YouTube  can take a bit as well....

So I've finished vids, but it was like way past bedtime when I got them, to YouTube and then just forgot I had to bring 'em here:

So, 3 awesome vids for ya's! Lots of  'Munk action!

Like this one says, 'More Chaos AND Stumpy'!

Oddly titled, but still more 'Munk power! - No, I didn't eat any chipmunks in my tacos

Return Of The Bot Fly 'Munk!

And as I wrote for the Youtube video, this isn't gross in ANY way, it's just missing a little hair here and there where they were.
I was surprised, I thought one of the other 'munks that come from that direction was the 'bot 'munk', I was wrong.
Good to see it's got rid of them.  It seemed glad to see me, jumping right on my pant leg more than once.
I hope this is a 'Summer' thing and that all the critters, yes, squirrels too are free of such parasites, it's Nature, but man, just yuk!

Don't worry, no 'yucky' clips in this vid. Enjoy!

Hanging Out with 'LilGuy' and 'Stumpy' the Squirrel

Holy it's getting cold fast!

ok, so this vid, if you want to skip some regular feeding and get right to LilGuy forward to 11:58 into the video...

I did two lap feedings with LilGuy, the first one is earlier in the video and wasn't so good, I was all hands and LilGuy was being a bit skittish.

Bleh.. methotrexate Wednesdays... fuckin suck

Eventful Evening..

The evening began, right after supper, well, before I go anywhere, I smoke up so I can distract myself from the pain, So I grab my bong and I head for the backyard and as I came around the corner the two young squirrels that live around my backyard are fornicating and they both stopped and were looking at me for a couple of seconds before the one jumped off the other's back... So I yelled at them to quit fornicating in my backyard!
Not the actual squirrels that were fornicating in my yard
So I head out on my walk with the plan to extend it into downtown as for some reason, even though Jessy gave me a a schedule yesterday.... But I head out on my walk with the plan to cut through downtown to see what was shaking... And nothing was LOL...

Although I am glad I did because I ran into Lloyd Hanson! Who haven't seen in ages. Lloyd Hanson is a well known musician and producer. He had a recording studio called Reel North productions and along with Dreamkicks 'albums' - We recorded an EP there with money we won from the Battle of the Bands at Trina's in like 1991? and then we recorded 'Naked Left The Bones', which had 7/8 songs on it. He recorded local Masters Of Metal 'Power Syndrome', 'Geordie Haley', 'Jon Fiddler' and well a whole history of Fredericton bands and musicians.. Anyhow, great to see Lloyd!

Then, right as Lloyd and his buddy headed off for a drink, I run into Martha O'Sullivan!

So, when my Bro's and I were kids and living at Elmcroft place, a cul-de-sac off Waterloo Row, ALL of our neighbors as in the kids we grew up with, were all girls. Even blocks away, it was all girls... Ok, there were the Mcinerney's but we didn't get on well with them...

ANYhow! Martha was a childhood friend of my oldest Brother Scott, well, our families were all friends.
Martha was someone we grew up with from like toddlers to teens. I had not seen her since Mom's funeral. So it was really great to see her. Kinda cool to live in the same area that I grew up as a kid and to run into some of the same people I grew up with there.

I wanted to get out for a bit tonight as it's going to rain all day tomorrow and the evening (feel bad for Harvest ticket holders)... and also, it's/...... Methotrexate night! Yayyy I just took them, so in a couple of hours the nausea will begin! Yayyy! Nausea!

Have a great one everyone....
