Yes, yes my friends! Finally, but well worth the wait. Last January the band traveled to Moncton, NB to an old airplane hanger that's been converted into a 'Haunted house'/'House of Terrors' called 'Zombie manor'.
The director Jared Carney had procured the place for the video and we had to keep everything under a lot of wraps because we couldn't 'give away' what the manor contained, as it's their bread and butter to bring people through the place and scare the crap out of them.
So after some talks with the owner, we found a couple of areas that were not too important as give aways to any future patrons (This place is seriously terrifying, they have a 'piss list', the number of people who have actually pissed themselves in fright while going through this place!!)...
Rewinding a little further... In the late Fall of 2016, I was approached by a local filmmaker named Jared Carney who has an indie film company called Creeker Films. Jared was working on a feature length film he was calling 'Kill Scene' and asked if the band might have a song we'd like to contribute to the movie. While we had about a dozen originals, nothing really fit what he was looking for, so as it happened we had just been working on a new original that had no name and just some scribbling for lyrics.
I asked Jared what he was looking for and we shot some ideas around and then the band set off to write this song, which became 'Kill Scene - Zombie Nation'.
We finished writing the track and began recording with Jake Duffie from Woodstock NB's Underground Alliance. The drum tracks were recorded at the spot we jam, which is Dan Rogers of Hero's Last Rites private recording and practice room (custom built by Dan!), the vocals, bass and guitar were recorded at the 'Sessions' room at CHSR-FM.
Jake mixed and mastered the recording of Kill Scene through December into January and we'd just got the next to finished mixes when we went to Moncton to film the band's scenes for the video.
The next weekend I joined Jared and his crew back in Moncton to film the 'Ladies' of the video.
In the Spring of 2017, the video went to an editor in Saint John NB who began to work on the video, but due to another job ans maybe some other issues, he had to pass on editing the video. So it took a few more months and another editor before Jared shot some 'pick up shots' and then it landed in the hands of Jon Blizzard in late 2017.
Jon did a fantastic job with the editing and you are about to watch the finished product! But first, some thank you's!:
