Freakin' Static

I don't even have carpeting and I get jolted routinely around the apartment. Last one, just a moment ago was in the near dark and I saw the sucker, strong one.
It's no wonder the cat is pissed off all the time, every time I touch her she gets zapped.

I dunno if we're in an official 'polar vortex' or not, but the weather's been rather ungodly since Thursday? Friday? Haven't left the house... Forecast says it's supposed to 'warm up' a bit on Tuesday, tomorrow's 'high' is forecast to be -18C *that's with the windchill factor added, -10C without - But there's a 40km/hr wind... So I'll remain in hibernation for another day.

19 Days until 'Spring'.... Think I saw the groundhog said it'd be a prolonged Winter. Days are getting longer, the Sun feels a little warmer and I can't wait for warmer times ahead.

Had a call from Tim Rayne, I guess one of the interviews he did with me, there's extremely loud cricket in the background, so he's going to do a re-shoot with me.

Not that I've signed any 'non-disclosure agreements' or anything, but I can't say, where the 'Capital Project' is these days. I'm so out of the loop. But I plan on spending some time with Tim this week, so we'll see what's shakin' and if I can reveal any AMAZINGLY awesome knowledge I have about the project. So there, lol, I'm not saying, 'See if I can reveal any horribly, depressive news', so there's that right?

Been practicing my part for the song I'm lending my vocals to. It's a small part, but I want to do a great job on it, not even a good job. Looking forward to doing this, though it's been a long time since I stretched the vocal cords, which is why I'm practicing a bit more than I might.

Then hopefully I'll be hearing from that other project soon.

Stay warm my friends!

OH, as of April 1st or something Google+ is dead. They are killing it. Gmail will still be around, I believe the photo service will remain and 'Blogger', which is it's own entity will be alright, so I don't have to worry about losing everything and having to find a new blog site. BUT, even now changes are happening.
Before when I published my blogs, a pop up would appear allowing me to share it on my Google+ account and choose who got it and stuff... That doesn't happen anymore. So, the only place I'm 'sharing' this, is it is posted to FB (without me actually having to go there) and of course published here. I used to have it published to my Twitter account, but they stopped that and I just haven't really ever cared too greatly about Twitter, so never did it manually... Well I think I may have done a couple here and there.

Zee Friday Night Party Animal

Friday evnin' vittles; Spicy hot chicken with BBQ chicken wings, ice cold Pepsi and Lamb of God 'Sacrament' blastin' in the background...

Whooop!

That 'MacKenzie House'* mug, that's from like 1982 or so, still looks brand new. That's my drinkin' mug! I always have it ice cold in the freezer, Summer & Winter.

*Mackenzie House, is a dorm at the  University of New Brunswick. Dad was the 'Don' of the house for like 3/4 years in the early 1980's. As kids we'd spend our weekends with Dad... Can you imagine? lol... We grew up going to 'toga parties', playing 'caps'.... watching the chaos of an early 1980's male dorm... Hell yeah, it was a great upbringing!

Been trying to immerse myself in this track I am doing guest vocals on. I got to admit, it's a bit different, but I'm totally stoked to lay down my vox tracks....

Then I'll be waiting for the 'call'.... The next guest vocal project after this is gonna be fucking killer!

'Alita Battle Angel Trailer' - An 'Alita' fan.

So first, many of you will remember 'Alita' was my husky.

But before her, Mike Fields and I had 'Alita' who was a kitten we got when we were room mates when we first went out West. We got evicted over that kitten... But that place sucked... Freakin' hookers everywhere with them fighting the single parents in our apartment building at 2,3 A.M....

And before that, there was 'Alita Battle Angel'... Which I actually wrote about a bunch of months back.
I had seen a screen grab from a movie trailer that caught my eye and ended up finding the new 'Alita Battle Angel' trailer.

One bit of 'faith' I had was that James Cameron was helming the project. I have hard feelings for a couple of Japanese created stories. 1 being Alita and the other is Akira. I felt, feel, that they were just too futuristic for anyone to try and pull off right, like really right, unless they filmed the live action version, image to frame, right from the original... I thought anything less would be selling it way short and be an embarrassment to stories I loved.

This is the image of Alita I used for the tattoo I have of her.

This of course happened, somewhat, with 'The Punisher' movies, which I wrote about a couple months ago.

So it's been with great trepidation that I've waited to see what James Cameron would do. The first trailer I saw, which would have been the last time I wrote about 'Alita' and I wasn't all that impressed.

But this, this new trailer gives me some hope. Albeit I do see one thing that kinda makes me sad already.
So there's a couple of 'anime's' made out of 'Alita - Battle Angel' and the thing that always 'bugged' me about those is that they meshed a bunch of the stories into the 'creation' story. So you kinda get this mashed up version of the very first storyline that started it all and because, well maybe they didn't anticipate a sequel, but they even have to 'end' the story, so they go deep into the storyline, many years and graphic novels later to give you the 'this is why' moment... That movie moment when you go, "aha! This is why" bla bla bla....

So if you haven't seen it, check it out. I'm excited for it at least now, but I know already, I'll have to face disappointment.

One thing I didn't anticipate with my welcoming feelings about the change in weather, was, the change in weather.
I'm sure i'll adjust to it just in time for it to plummet and change again...

Random photo from the past, The second day I had 'Alita' I brought her into work with me at the motion capture studio at Electronic Arts. She was such a funny puppy. People were freaked out by her eyes. It's like huskies eyes change when they get a bit older, when they are this young, they have this weird blueberry like appearance.

Wish Order 'Unbagging' #III

Yes, 'Unbagging' isn't a word... Guess I could have used 'de-bagging'? If this stuff came in a box, it'd be so much easier!

Twas a mild day! More to come this week before the temp plummets again... Was actually sweating today!
Ahh can't wait for Summer, damn it!

'I'm So Excited!'

LOOK!!

YES! The 'Polar Vortex' of DEATH! is over! Near a week of agreeable temperatures! W00T!
(For my US friends, those temps are all around the freezing level)

26 Days until Spring! I'm glad that there's a break in the ridiculously cold weather, I was startin' to get a little loopy.

I should take some pix tomorrow. As I was coming back from the mall on Saturday afternoon, I couldn't help but notice that ginormous blocks of snow ice and boulders, the size of them is quite impressive. The Winter, like last has been a cycle of snow, rain, ice warm temps, then plummeting freezing temps and it's made crusty snow that in some cases looks about a foot thick. It's really unreal. I haven't seen anything like that.

Should have something from Wish.com coming this week. Hilarious tracking. I thought, based on Wish.com's amazingly inaccurate tracking, that this item would have been here some time last week. Then on Friday night I checked the tracking on my last two items and all of a sudden, instead of 'landing in Richmond BC' not this last Friday but the one before that (and thus I thought it'd be here last week sometime), now the updated tracking said my item had just landed in Winnipeg and was NOW on it's way... Checking lol Canada Post, it's estimated arrival date was January 28th... Now the 3rd lol... Wish.com doesn't make it dull.. No wonder all those annoying ads have people acting so wacky over the arrival of their items from Wish.... They went crazy trying to track them!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

THE Two Most Important Books You Can Ever Read! AND Don't Drink Your Pee! NO!

I don't like 'fiction' books... It's a very, very narrow minded view I have and I know it's absurd to most but it's how I feel. I don't want to read someone else's fantasies. I did that when I was a kid and have no desire at all to do it well, even since I reached adulthood and 'fictional' stories just don't do it for me. I was a very picky Fiction reader when I was young. I did read a lot of different books, but only ever got 'into' two authors: H.P. Lovecraft and Clive Barker.

With all that being said, out of all the books I've read in the last decade or so, Graham Hancock's 'Fingerprints of the Gods' (1995) and it's followup 'Magicians Of the Gods' (2015) are THE two books I'd recommend anyone read if they want to step outside the world of other people's fantasies and read some absolutely flooring ideas on the beginnings of civilization.

Graham Hancock is a British writer and journalist. Hancock specializes in investigations involving ancient civilizations, stone monuments or megaliths, altered states of consciousness, ancient myths, and astronomical or astrological data from the past.

One theme of his works proposes a connection with a 'mother culture' from which he believes other ancient civilizations sprang.
He's 'dubbed by the mainstream archaeologists and historians as pseudoarchaeologist and having "pseudoscientific theories".

Graham Hancock had a major victory in the last 6-8 months in that his theory (not just 'his') that an asteroid fragmented and hit the North American ice sheet, as well as ice sheets across the northern parts of the globe, causing massive melting of these ice sheets and glaciers, and this massive flooding from the melted ice sheets, debris and ice water blasted into the sky is what caused the end of the pre-flood civilizations.
This disaster Hancock claims is what gave rise to the ancient flood myths and ancient epic disaster myths of the ancient world, which have been put down for years by mainstream historians and archaeologists because there was NO proof of this happening... Even though evidence in the Earth, as in mat layers, microspherules, nano diamonds, all kinds of "evidence" was there, just no crater, until, as I said a couple of months ago, a study of the Greenland ice sheet, showed a massive crater beneath it, that would date back to the time when the Younger Drias began some 11,500 years ago. Precisely what Hancock's investigations have been telling us for years! The "proof" has now been found!

While it doesn't back up EVERYTHING Graham speaks about, this meteor that hit, caused a lot of damage and sea levels to rise... In all kinds of spots across the planet they've been finding ancient cities that USED to be above water and all seem to have disappeared around the time this meteor smote the Earth!
Gobekli Tepe is another 'piece of evidence' for Graham and other's in his field. As for years Graham Hancock, Robert Schoch, Robert Bauval, Andrea Collins, Randall Carlson and many others have been saying there were ancient advanced civilizations that were wiped out by an ancient global disaster and the 'mainstream' archaeologists always barked back, "where's the evidence of this ancient culture??"... And then Gobekli Tepe was uncovered...

Hancock's books are eye-opening, mind expanding, thrilling investigative journals.
And again, I highly, HIGHLY recommend either two of these books:

As Graham Hancock says, "Mankind, is starting to awake from it's global amnesia...

And something super exciting happened the other day, Graham Hancock Tweeted a post I made to a link of one of his videos on a conspiracy forum I frequent. Check it out!

Shivambu! No, I didn't just hex you, that word, is an ancient Indian (India) word for... PEE, Urine, piss, wee-wee, whiz!

The YouTube 'rabbithole' I've fallen down lately is YouTubers that debunk crazy naturopathic regimes, "cures", "remedies"... and so on. SOME of these crazy 'cures' are downright ... crazy and others downright dangerous!

DON'T DRINK YOUR PEE!!!! Or put it in your bum, va-jay-jay, or your ears, eyes, nose, or mouth or hair ... Don't do what this guy says! I mean, I guess you can if you really want to, but I ain't gonna hang out with you if you smell like fucking pee...

'Brother Sage' here? Yeah he's a "health guru".... Lookit him, he's gonna fall over from death any day now!!

To watch a hilarious video of 'Brother Sage' (the pee-enthusiast in the video above) Check out Jeff Holiday's YouTube Channel as he 'debunks' Brother Sage's sagely advice....

I've been laughing my ass off all week as I've coped with the mid Winter blues... yeah, I've been a bit depressed lately... Just fuckin hate these Winters... But hopefully I can work on getting out of here for a month or two each Winter, we'll see...

Anyhow,  Check out Jeff Holiday's other videos as he debunks everything from quack cures to ridiculous 'faiths' and 'cults'.
