Special weather statement in effect for:
Fredericton and Southern York County
Significant snowfall to affect portions of the province on Monday and Monday night.
A low pressure system from the Great Lakes on Monday will track southeastward to lie south of Nova Scotia by Tuesday morning. Snow is expected to develop over western New Brunswick Monday morning and slowly progress eastward throughout the day before ending Tuesday morning.
Total snowfall amounts exceeding 15 cm are possible. Strong southeasterly winds could also reduce visibilities in blowing snow Monday afternoon and evening.
Travel may become difficult due to rapidly accumulating snow and reduced visibility.
